Job Summary:
SixAM Strategies is seeking a Public Affairs Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead public affairs efforts across multiple corporate accounts while serving as our core reporting and data strategist.
The ideal candidate blends a strong communications and media relations background with technical proficiency in data analytics, reporting automation, and process optimization, serving as a trusted strategic partner to both internal teams and corporate client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multistate reputation and advocacy campaigns, managing grassroots field teams across client accounts
- Develop and execute hyperlocal communications plans, including messaging development, content strategy, and media relations outreach.
- Lead recurring reporting across corporate accounts, coalitions, and advocacy causes.
- Track and pull performance data across media monitoring, digital, social, and grassroots channels—translating metrics like share of voice, reach, sentiment, and conversions into clear insights for executives.
- Build, maintain, and optimize SharePoint sites, custom lists, dynamic formulas, and Excel models to streamline media reporting workflows and automate manual data entry.
- Audit campaign data and media tracking reports to catch inconsistencies, ensure clean measurement, and spot opportunities to optimize reporting.
- Serve as the primary analytics point of contact for internal account managers and external corporate leaders, fielding ad-hoc reporting requests and presenting trend analysis.
- Manage junior team members, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Position Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in public affairs, corporate client reporting, data analytics, or agency operations.
- 3 years of experience working in an agency environment managing multiple clients/campaigns simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint (building workflows, dynamic calculated formulas, list management) and Microsoft Excel.
- Deep understanding of the modern communications landscape, including digital, earned media, print, social, and broadcast channels.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a client-facing lead and translate technical data findings for non-technical executive audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-paced team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with media tracking, social intelligence, and monitoring platforms such as Brandwatch, MuckRack, or TVEyes.
- Experience managing grassroots or field teams for issue advocacy campaigns.
