Job Title: Packaging Team Lead
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary
The Packaging Team Lead is responsible for supervising a team that packages, pouches, kits, assembles, and finishes manufactured products. This role supports daily operations and ensures production, quality, and safety goals are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and manage daily work for full-time and temporary employees
- Monitor production schedules and ensure efficient workflows
- Review and analyze production and quality data
- Communicate regularly with operations leadership on progress and priorities
- Learn and operate rewinding and assembly equipment; act as a process resource
- Oversee quality inspections and address issues promptly
- Train and coach new and existing team members
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve packaging and finishing issues
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Monitor inventory of materials, tools, and supplies and coordinate reorders
- Maintain 6S standards across packaging and assembly work areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with packaging or finishing processes (sealing, pouching, rewinding, kitting, assembly)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a positive, hands-on leadership approach
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be loud
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
