Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered care focused on wellness, comfort, and dignity.
- Administer medications and treatments according to professional nursing standards and departmental policies.
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and condition changes.
- Supervise, delegate, and educate CNAs, NAs, and HHAs to ensure thorough and compassionate care.
- Assist Sisters with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meals.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and end-of-life care practices.
- Coordinate and accompany Sisters to medical appointments and therapies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to the Clinical Manager.
- Participate in staff orientation, training, and continuing education.
- Support Activities and Enrichment programming for Sisters.
Required:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with valid state license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably with geriatric or dementia care.
- Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in healthcare or residential care settings.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Use of proper body mechanics and safety equipment for resident care.
