Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Ensure the smooth and cost-efficient material flow to support our operations
- Develop and execute supply chain project plans for assigned new product development projects
- Manage all aspects of assigned commodities – commodity strategies, market conditions, technology roadmaps, and should cost creation
- Manage a supply base that meet Singer’s Cost, Quality, and Delivery targets
- Work in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals
- Be responsible for issuance of RFQs
- Manage supplier relationships and performance to achieve program milestones and customer requirements.
- Be accountable for ensuring accuracy of part master data within MRP
- Generate purchase requisitions and place Purchase Orders with suppliers to meet demand
- Support issuing RFI, RFP, RFQ, PO placement and other purchasing activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant fields
- Three (3) plus years of experience as Buyer, Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Specialist, GSM or equivalent
- Proven ability to onboard and contract pricing agreements with suppliers
- Knowledge of procurement strategies, should cost models and technology roadmaps
- Bonus points if you come from a rapid growth environment and/or automotive/aerospace
- A true team player with a positive attitude.
