The Delivery-Installer is responsible for ensuring the successful installation of commercial kitchen equipment and exceptional delivery service to our customers. While performing the duties of this role, the Delivery-Installer must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices.
Essential Functions
- Driving an automatic 26 ft. box truck (non CDL), DOT required
- Preparation and assembly of equipment for delivery
- Delivering and setting up commercial kitchen and bar equipment
- Loading and unloading equipment and tools properly for delivery and work in the field
- Troubleshooting delivery/installation issues
- Small package delivery
- Operating a forklift (Certification Required) will certify if needed
- Maintaining a neat and organized work area
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations on job sites, while driving company vehicles and in Singer|Kittredge warehouses
- Attending required safety trainings
- Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct during work hours
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification a plus (Company paid if certification isn’t current)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial distribution a plus
- Experience in Foodservice related industry a plus
- Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and a collaborative work style
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated
- Customer oriented
- Experience with driving straight trucks a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Mechanically inclined
- Proficiency in reading layout drawings a plus
- Proficiency in use of hand and power tools
- Able to operate powered material handling equipment
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and carry 50 pounds
- Primary work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. The position may require overtime hours, overnight stays, out of town travel and weekend work as needed
