The Multimedia Communication and Graphic Design Department at Simpson College is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track professor in Marketing Communication for the 2026-2027 academic year. We seek a dynamic candidate committed to teaching who has expertise in digital and social media strategy, brand management, and marketing communication. Ideal candidates will demonstrate an understanding of audience engagement, content analytics, and visual storytelling across multiple platforms. Experience in sports communication or working with athletic brands and teams is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Teach six courses (or a 3-3 load), including core undergraduate courses such as Intro to Communication, Media & PR Writing, and Public Relations. Other courses would depend on expertise but could include courses in digital communication, social media management, integrated marketing communication, brand strategy, and ethical use of artificial intelligence.
- Contribute to the Simpson community and the department by advising students, teaching first-year courses, engaging in professional development, and being involved in service to the broader campus community.
- Supervise experiential learning opportunities, including interdisciplinary student-run projects, internships, and undergraduate research.
- Ph.D. in Communication, Media Studies, or a related field preferred; master’s degree with significant professional experience in digital marketing, brand management, or sports communication will be strongly considered.
- Demonstrated expertise with digital and social media strategy, audience analytics, and storytelling.
- Evidence of effective teaching or mentoring in higher education or in a professional setting.
