Job Overview
We are a growing Boba café looking for a motivated, business-minded manager who can not only prepare excellent boba drinks but also help drive sales, increase customer traffic, and maintain high operational standards. This is a long-term role with growth potential and profit-share incentives once the business becomes profitable.
Job Responsibilities
Barista & Customer Service
- Prepare high-quality coffee and beverages consistently
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café at all times
Management & Operations
- Ensure proper FIFO (first-in, first-out) on all inventory
- Label and date all products, food items, fruits, vegetables, and prep items
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders when necessary
- Train and supervise staff as business grows
Marketing & Sales Growth
- Develop strategies to increase walk-ins, repeat customers, and average ticket size
- Actively promote the café on slow days, including distributing flyers to local residents and businesses
- Propose and execute promotional ideas (discounts, loyalty programs, combo specials, seasonal drinks, social media content, etc.)
- Build relationships with local businesses for catering, corporate orders, or partnerships
Business Development
- Analyze sales trends and provide weekly improvement reports
- Create plans to attract new customers during low-traffic hours
- Help maintain a positive brand image and local community presence
Requirements
- Previous café or coffee shop experience
- Food Handler Certificate
- Strong barista skills (required)
- Experience in customer service and basic management
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Comfortable with hands-on marketing (flyers, promotions, talking to locals)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and proactive
Compensation
- Hourly Pay: (see recommended ranges below)
- Bonus & Incentive:
- After business breaks even and becomes profitable, you will receive 10% of net profit quarterly.
