Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and cognitive-communication deficits
Provide speech therapy services to patients, including articulation, fluency, voice, language, and cognitive training
Collaborate with other rehabilitation professionals, such as physical, occupational, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions
Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in speech therapy
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program
Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Illinois
Clinical fellowship completion (CF) or postgraduate experience in SLP
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds and abilities
