Job Summary
Bring your expertise in underground utilities, groundwater management, or drilling to a
specialized leadership role. Silver Leaf SWPPP is hiring a Civil Construction Foreman -
Dewatering to oversee critical water control operations on major commercial
developments and civil infrastructure projects—ranging from high-volume structural
foundations to deep sewer, storm drain, and lift station installations.
In this role, you will manage complex jobsites with water volumes up to 500,000 gallons
per day. You will lead a dedicated field crew, maintain mechanical and electrical
system, and ensure strict environmental compliance. This includes monitoring and
disposal of environmentally contaminated groundwater.
We are looking for a foreman who commands respect in the field and is highly proficient
with digital construction management tools for tracking daily logs, flow rates, and site
compliance data.

Responsibilities
Crew Leadership: Direct and supervise field crews of 2 to 6 technicians;
delegate daily tasks, enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA), and conduct
on-site safety meetings.
Client Coordination: Act as the primary on-site contact for project managers,
engineers, and general contractors to coordinate dewatering timelines and
resolve site challenges professionally.
System Operations: Oversee the end-to-end setup, operation, and teardown of
complex dewatering systems (pumps, piping, wellpoints) to manage volumes up
to 500,000 GPD.
Environmental Compliance: Monitor groundwater discharge for potential
contaminants; assist in setting up filtration systems and ensure total compliance
with state environmental regulations and discharge permits.
Digital Documentation: Maintain precise daily logs, equipment maintenance
records, flow-rate tracking, and progress reports using ProCore and
ComplianceGO.
Plan Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret blueprints, utility schematics,
and technical drawings to align dewatering activities with subsurface site
conditions.
Technical Troubleshooting: Perform routine mechanical and electrical
maintenance on equipment to ensure safe system operations and reliability.

Required Qualifications

Field Leadership: 3 or more years of experience as a Construction Foreman,
Crew Leader, or Lead Hand, with a direct background in subsurface work
(underground utilities, heavy civil infrastructure, wet utilities, deep trenching, or
drilling/geotechnical operations).
Plan Reading: Strong proficiency reading and interpreting civil blueprints, utility
schematics, and technical drawings related to underground site conditions.
Equipment Operation: Hands-on experience safely operating field equipment,
including work trucks, trailers, telehandlers, and excavators.
Technical Literacy: Experience using construction management software (such
as ProCore, Bluebeam, or equivalents) to maintain daily logs, track flow rates,
and submit digital progress reports.
Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude: Experience with routine mechanical
troubleshooting and basic field electrical checks.

Safety & Compliance: Valid OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent
verifiable site safety training).
Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving history to
operate company field vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desired but Trainable)

Education: Associate Degree or higher in Construction Management,
Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Dewatering Familiarity: Direct experience managing groundwater, bypass
pumping setups, or high-volume water control systems (50,000 GPD).
Environmental Compliance: Familiarity with stormwater management, SWPPP
regulations, or handling environmentally contaminated groundwater.
