POSITIONS NEEDED ARE REGULAR/PERMANENT PART-TIME EVERY MONTH:
1) 7am - 7pm Day Shift: 1st & 3rd Sundays & Mondays (48 hours/month)
2) 7pm - 7am Night Shift: Every Sundays & Mondays (96 hours/month)
3) And PRN during the week for vacation coverage
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure safety and well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through active engagement, companionship, and social activities
- Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic environment within the care setting
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including nurses, social workers, and therapists to implement personalized care plans
- Follow safety protocols during emergency situations by executing first aid or CPR when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving roles within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home health environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
- Experience working with people with dementia (including Alzheimer’s disease), or memory care is highly valued
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts is essential
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and adherence to care plans
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through direct support and personalized care
