This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Peachtree City, GA with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.
- Coordinate with marketing and lead engineers to ensure project specifications are clear, complete, achievable, and consistent with voice of the customer (VoC).
- Ensure design progression via CAD modeling reviews, thermal and mechanical analysis, drawing and model retention, testing plan creation, test review, and coordinate with internal and third-party compliance.
- Meet project tooling budget and product cost requirements.
- Coordinate with sourcing team to ensure vendors are identified, quotations are obtained, and quality standards/form deliverables are met.
- Prototype and build Proof-of-Concepts.

- Currently in pursuit of a Bachelors' or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrate basic mechanical design approaches and capabilities, proficient in CAD
- Have basic knowledge of various materials and their structural and thermal properties
- Excellent communication, organizational and people skills and the ability to work across functional groups
- Ability to articulate and promote Engineering best-practices

Pay Rate: $23 - $31 per hour (based on year of study)
