Position Overview:
As our Dental Receptionist, you'll be the first face our patients see when they walk in, setting the tone for a positive and welcoming experience. You'll help patients feel at ease, manage schedules, and ensure the office runs smoothly behind the scenes. Behind the scenes includes insurance verifications for PPO plans. What You’ll Do:
- Warmly greet patients with a smile as they arrive at the office, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for.
- Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling, always keeping things organized and running on time.
- Share information with patients about their payment options, PPO or Medicaid insurance coverage, and assist with any questions.
- Help patients with their paperwork and ensure their information is accurate and up to date.
- Confirm appointments by phone or email, keeping patients on track and reducing no-shows.
- Coordinate specialist referrals, making sure everything is managed smoothly and efficiently.
- Keep track of office supplies and place orders to ensure the office stays fully stocked.
- Sort and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain a neat and welcoming reception area, reflecting our practice’s caring and professional image.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of dental office experience.
- 1 year of phone and customer service experience.
- Proficiency with Open Dental software (or willingness to learn).
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to make patients feel comfortable.
- A professional and polished appearance, with a friendly and positive attitude.
Compensation:
Salary: $32,000–$40,000 annually, based on experience.
