Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential clients interested in auctioning industrial equipment.
- Initiate and maintain communication with potential sellers using a variety of channels, including outbound calls, targeted emails, and in-person meetings to thoroughly discuss auction service opportunities.
- Prepare and send auction agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurately represented and agreed upon.
- Manage the entire auction sales process from inception to completion, including coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
- Work closely with clients ("sellers") to understand their needs and effectively manage their expectations throughout the auction process.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to promote auction events, maximizing visibility and participation.
- Build a network of relationships with rigging and demolition companies to partner on auction opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, including auction listings, advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market demand for industrial equipment.
- Ensure compliance with auction regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with clients to comprehensively understand the equipment being auctioned, its condition, market demand, and historical pricing data.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to assess current market trends, competitor prices, and demand for similar industrial equipment.
- Utilize acquired data and insights to advise clients on setting competitive yet realistic pricing and reserve pricing for their equipment, ensuring optimal outcomes during the auction.
- Guide clients through the pricing strategy, explaining the rationale behind suggested pricing and reserve prices based on market conditions and asset value.
- Continuously monitor market changes and adjust pricing strategies as needed, providing transparent and informed recommendations to clients to maximize auction success.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment

- Ability to read equipment manufacturer's operation manuals, maintenance manuals and machine schematic drawings.
- Valid auctioneer license and a proven track record as an auctioneer, preferably in industrial equipment auctions.
- Strong negotiation and sales skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities to oversee multiple auctions simultaneously.
- Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in documentation and agreements.
- Adept at problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and experience in creating marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, its valuation, and the auction process.
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate varying client needs and auction timelines.
- Travel is required to support and facilitate auction-related activities.
