Are you a compassionate and reliable individual looking to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? Siffrin is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
About the Role:
As a Substitute DSP, you will support individuals in their homes and communities, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. This is an on-call, as-needed position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the human services field.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting with daily living activities (e.g., personal care, meal preparation, medication administration)
- Supporting individuals in pursuing their personal goals and interests
- Facilitating community integration and participation in social activities
- Providing transportation to appointments and community outings
- Maintaining a safe and supportive living environment
- Documenting services provided and reporting any changes in individuals' status
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (some college or relevant certifications a plus)
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required (we provide training!)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to drive company vehicles are required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
