What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Information Technology position at Sierra ITS?
Sierra ITS has partnered with the Village of Glencoe to identify a dynamic technology leader who craves impact. In this role, you'll oversee all Village IT systems and operations, lead strategic planning to support and enhance Village functions, and collaborate with other departments to ensure systems are secure, adaptable, and maintained to best practices while fostering a culture of cybersecurity and innovation. In short, you'll "own" both current and future states of technology for the Village - which happens to impact the daily lives of both village staff and the community in general.
For consideration, you must have the following:
- 5 years in director level technology leadership with a focus on high-availability infrastructure
- Experience in government (or related), non-profit, or Private sector environment where departmental communication and collaboration are vital
- Technical chops that come from past hands on roles within enterprise networking, administration, and cybersecurity.
- Customer-centric mindset and the ability to illustrate that in both words and actions
