Sierra Foothills Academy is a K-12 Special needs education program with a small school environment, which enables us to work more hands on with our kids. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As an SLP, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders for our students. Responsibilities: - Conducts comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders. - Develops and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ communication goals. - Provides direct therapy services using a variety of techniques and modalities to improve speech, language, and cognitive abilities. - Collaborates with clients, families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support optimal outcomes. - Documents progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. - Stays current on research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you play a crucial role in helping students overcome communication challenges. Your expertise will make a difference in the lives of students by improving their ability to communicate.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications: - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. - California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred. - Experience working with diverse populations and across age groups. - Strong clinical skills and knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - Commitment to professional growth and continuing education. Candidates who are currently enrolled (interns) or recently graduated from a Speech-Language Pathology Credential program are encouraged to apply. Our SLP staff are great mentors!
