Your impact
- Execute visual CWI, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on welded and machined components to exact specifications.
- Perform one or more non-destructive testing techniques to confirm weld acceptability.
- Validate builds against the correct configuration revision, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct first article inspections on parts, assemblies, equipment, and tooling; summarize findings and diagnostics.
- Operate within the Carshell welding and BG manufacturing areas to uphold quality at every stage.
- Enter, maintain, and extract data in MRP systems, noncompliance tracking tools, and the Configuration Management System.
What you’ll need
- Active CWI or PT Level II (penetrant testing) certification; willingness to secure any missing credential within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ability to retrieve and input information in electronic inspection and database systems.
- Availability to travel to Sacramento, CA for training—initially at least two weeks, with additional trips as required.

Monday–Thursday, 4:00pm–2:30am
Physical requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity; regular reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing; occasional sitting.
- Lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and 40 lbs occasionally.
- Visual acuity across close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Base hourly rate range in Lexington, NC: $30.00–$44.65, plus 10% shift differential. Actual rate may be higher or lower based on budget and your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
