Join us in our state-of-the-art train manufacturing facility in Lexington, NC, where Siemens Mobility advances passenger rail systems. As a Rail Systems Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be integral to the assembly and installation of electrical and mechanical components in a bustling production environment, creating electrical systems for world-class rail systems.
What You'll Do
- Assemble parts for passenger coaches, such as roofs, cable harnesses, and panel systems.
- Connect components using wiring to complete electrical systems.
- Tailor wire lengths according to specifications and secure appropriately.
- Perform component modifications, refurbishments, and reassembly.
- Follow technical instructions and utilize diagrams for precise assembly tasks.
- Utilize fine motor skills for detailed assembly work with high precision.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with electrical panel assembly, construction, or automotive fields.
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly operations.
- Basic command of English written and verbal skills.
- Competence in reading technical blueprints and diagrams.
- Frequent engagement in physical activities such as walking and reaching, including occasional crawling.
- Capability to work in overhead environments.
- Occasional lifting and handling of weights up to 40 pounds.
- Visual skills critical for task performance, including color and depth perception.
