How You’ll Make an Impact
- Reporting and Financial Statement preparation: Assist in the preparation of month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual financial reporting, including Balance Sheet, P&L, statutory notes, and key certifications.
- Digital Projects: Drive strategic and cross‑functional projects by identifying digitalization opportunities, implementing technology‑enabled process improvements, and strengthening team capability in leveraging modern tools.
- Operational Improvement: Facilitate workshops on digital tools while documenting processes to enhance clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement across financial operations.
- Financial Controls: Enhance governance and financial controls by improving account reconciliations, supporting journal entry preparation, and contributing to compliance with central accounting requirements (AP, ICC, and other global topics).
- External Audit Liaison: Collaborate as a key partner with external auditors, preparing SAP‑based reporting packages and supporting documentation to ensure smooth and efficient quarterly and annual audit cycles.
- Planning and Valuation: Support planning, valuation, and investment‑related reporting, including long‑range plan consolidation and analytics‑driven work supporting CGU and goodwill assessments.
- A university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both reporting and digital/automation initiatives (Big 4 or public accounting experience considered an asset).
- Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Office, with hands‑on experience using data analytics or visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Proven ability to take initiative and independently drive complex projects and process improvements, including leveraging automation to enhance financial workflows and challenge existing practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
