The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer delivery requirements. This position requires strong communication skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to decision-making. How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Develop and own manufacturing processes for new and existing power generation turbine airfoil components.
- Support both conventional and non-conventional machining processes with hands-on shop floor involvement.
- Lead manufacturing from process development through project completion, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve non-conformances and improve manufacturability.
- Create and maintain process documentation while driving continuous improvement through data analysis.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Engineers, Fixture Engineers, CMM Programmers, and Operators.
What You Bring (requirements)
- B.S./B.A. degree preferred, or equivalent operations-related experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a related field with a thorough understanding of product flow and process steps for industrial gas turbine repair.
- Proficiency in ERP systems including SAP
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite including Project and Power BI
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
