Duties
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Perform construction inspection
- Ensure contractor’s compliance with project WZTC (or MPT) requirements
- Prepare Inspector’s daily work reports using Site Manager Software
- Communicate with supervisors to keep them aware of field issues
- Minimum of three (3) years of bridge/highway construction inspection experience on NYSDOT projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with EIT certification preferred
- NICET II, NICET III and NICET IV Certification or Equivalent
- ACI Field Technician Level 1 and Traffic Control certifications a plus
- OSHA 10-hour training certification
- NYSDOT Site Manager Experience Required
- Computer Literate and good writing and communication skills
- Positive attitude, good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Willingness to work night shift and irregular hours
- Must have NYSDOT driver’s License and personal vehicle to commute to work
