Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on CNC Quality Inspector / Quality Lead to take ownership of inspection, documentation, and quality enforcement across our machining operations.
This role is critical to ensuring zero defects reach the customer. You will work closely with machinists and leadership to maintain ISO9001-level quality discipline.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process, first article, and final inspection of machined parts
- Create and manage ISO9001 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and tolerances
- Micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges
- Pin gauges, thread gauges
- Operate and/or support CMM inspection (Mitutoyo preferred)
- Verify parts post-processing (plating, anodizing, coating)
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements PO notes
- Maintain traceability, lot control, and documentation
- Identify and escalate non-conformances (NCRs)
- Work with machinists to resolve quality issues quickly
- Ensure parts are properly cleaned, bagged, tagged, and labeled
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years in CNC inspection / quality role
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Experience in aerospace / AS9100 environment (preferred)
- Ability to inspect tight tolerance parts (±0.001” and below)
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools and methods
- High attention to detail and accountability mindset
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
