We are scaling rapidly across leading health systems and are looking for a Finance & Operations leader to help us build the financial backbone of the company as we grow.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance & Operations Manager with strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, and hardware-driven operations. This role will sit at the intersection of finance, supply chain, and strategic decision-making—helping Shyld AI scale efficiently while maintaining tight control over unit economics and cash flow.

You will work closely with leadership to drive financial modeling, hardware cost optimization, and operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Build and maintain financial models for company growth, including revenue projections, burn, and runway
• Develop scenario-based forecasts (best/worst/base case) tied to deployment scale and sales pipeline
• Own budgeting process across departments (engineering, hardware, sales, operations)
• Track actuals vs. plan and provide actionable insights to leadership

Hardware & Unit Economics

• Develop deep understanding of hardware BOM (Bill of Materials) and manufacturing costs
• Analyze and optimize unit economics (COGS, margins, payback period per device)
• Partner with engineering and supply chain teams to identify cost reduction opportunities
• Support pricing strategy based on cost structure and deployment models

Operations & Supply Chain Finance

• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to model production costs and scaling scenarios
• Forecast inventory, procurement needs, and cash tied to hardware production
• Build financial frameworks for installation, deployment, and maintenance operations
• Evaluate trade-offs between CapEx vs. OpEx models

Strategic Finance

• Support fundraising efforts with financial models and investor materials
• Assist in board reporting and KPI tracking (ARR, gross margin, deployment efficiency)
• Analyze expansion opportunities across hospitals and departments
• Help define and track key business metrics across finance and operations

Process & Systems

• Implement and improve financial processes, reporting tools, and dashboards
• Support accounting, invoicing, and cash management workflows
• Ensure financial discipline as the company scales

Qualifications

Required

• 4–8 years experience in finance, FP&A, or operations finance
• Strong experience in financial modeling and projections
• Experience working with hardware products or manufacturing environments
• Deep understanding of unit economics and cost structures
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (modeling, scenario analysis)
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred

• Experience in hardware SaaS hybrid business models
• Familiarity with supply chain, procurement, and contract manufacturing (CM/ODM)
• Exposure to subscription-based revenue models
• Experience supporting fundraising or investor reporting
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries
