What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager Finance Operations position at Insight Global?
The Finance Program Manager is essentially a Finance process improvement leader. You’re responsible for making sure finance processes are clearly defined, standardized, working efficiently, and continuously improving. You partner closely with Finance leaders and IT to fix what’s broken, streamline how work gets done, and make sure systems and processes scale in a very complex manufacturing environment. This role will be fully onsite for a 1 year long contract with potential extensions.
DAY TO DAY:
• Define and document end‑to‑end Finance processes and make sure they align to business and strategic goals
• Partner with Finance leaders, IT, and business analysts to improve how finance work gets done
• Analyze process performance using KPIs and operational metrics (cycle time, quality, compliance, user experience)
• Lead cross‑functional improvement projects to reduce errors, eliminate inefficiencies, and standardize processes
• Use Lean and Six Sigma methods to run root cause analysis and drive measurable improvements
• Gather feedback from stakeholders and continuously refine finance processes
• Identify training needs and help teams adopt new or improved processes
• Mentor and coach teams on process excellence and best practices
• Communicate progress, risks, and results to Finance leadership and key stakeholders
• Act as a subject matter expert advising leaders on finance process design, scalability, and long‑term transformation
MUST HAVE / REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• 10 years of experience in finance operations, process excellence, business process management, or finance transformation
• Strong hands‑on experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (strong Green Belt acceptable with proven project leadership)
• Comfortable working in complex, highly regulated environments (manufacturing or semiconductor experience is a plus)
• Experience with finance systems and platforms such as ERP finance tools, close and reconciliation systems, and BI or analytics tools
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to senior leadership
