The Manager of Performance Improvement/Staff Development plans, organizes, develops, and directs the operations and programs of Performance Improvement and Staff Development for Shriners Children’s Lexington. Must demonstrate understanding of the SHC Medical Center Core Values Excellence, Innovation, Commitment, Integrity, Teambuilding, Stewardship and Respect required to carry out the functions of this position.
This position must demonstrate an understanding of the principles of performance improvement, risk management, patient safety and staff development while incorporating adult learning principles. Must demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all staff, physicians, students, and with academic partners. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and general computer usage.

Required
- 5 or more years of experience in hospital management, performance inprovement, risk management and/or education
- BSN degree
- Current, unrestricted Kentucky RN license
- BLS certification
- CPR Instructor certification within 6 months of hire
- 1 year management/supervisor experience
- MSN or higher degree
