SHR Talent is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in Nashville, TN to hire a Strategic Finance Manager. This is a highly visible opportunity for a finance professional who wants to go beyond reporting the numbers and play a meaningful role in shaping business decisions.
The Strategic Finance Manager will work closely with senior leadership, including direct exposure to the CFO, to provide financial analysis, competitive insights, forecasting, and strategic recommendations that help drive the business forward. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded, and motivated by finding opportunities to improve performance — not simply completing assigned tasks.
This role is ideal for someone who can dig into the data, understand the story behind the numbers, and confidently translate that information into actionable recommendations.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership on strategic financial initiatives and business decisions
- Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses to support short- and long-term planning
- Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to help leadership identify opportunities for growth and improved performance
- Translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for executive leadership
- Look beyond traditional reporting to understand the "why" behind financial and operational results
- Partner cross-functionally with business and operational leaders to improve performance
- Support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and other high-impact projects
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, reporting, and decision-making
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 5–7 years of progressive finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or related experience preferred
- Candidates with 3–4 years of experience may be considered with strong strategic capabilities and the right energy and cultural fit
- Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills
- Experience with competitive, market, or strategic business analysis
- Ability to move beyond reporting numbers and use financial data to recommend solutions and influence decisions
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial and operational drivers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior leadership
- Proactive, curious, collaborative, and comfortable challenging the status quo
- Desire to make a meaningful impact and have a voice in the organization
Compensation & Work Arrangement
- Up to $160,000, depending on experience
- Nashville, TN
- Hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week onsite
- High visibility and direct exposure to the CFO and executive leadership
