Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and refining existing dishes to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations.
- Participate in food preparation activities such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment cleaning and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting 1 YEAR REQUIRED, especially within the food industry or culinary environment.
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
