About the Position
As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide high-quality nursing care and medical oversight to individuals receiving community-based services. You'll work alongside Direct Support Professionals, supervisors, and healthcare providers, to ensure each individual receives exceptional, person-centered care.

What You'll Do
Deliver Compassionate Nursing Care
- Provide direct nursing care and health monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments
- Perform wound care and other skilled nursing services
- Monitor vital signs and health status
Assess & Document
- Complete nursing assessments
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Monitor changes in health and communicate concerns appropriately
Coordinate Care
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure continuity of care across services
Train & Support Staff
- Educate and mentor Direct Support Professionals on health-related topics
- Provide guidance regarding medication administration, medical procedures, and emergency response
- Promote best practices in person-centered care
Advocate for Individuals
- Support each person's health, dignity, and independence
- Ensure medical needs and personal preferences are respected
- Help individuals achieve the highest possible quality of life
Respond to Medical Needs
- Assess and respond to urgent medical situations
- Coordinate with emergency personnel when necessary
- Provide calm, professional leadership during emergencies
Qualifications
· Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) License
· Valid Driver's License
· Strong assessment and clinical nursing skills
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
· Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach
· Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required
