Job Summary
The primary function of the Warranty Associate is to clarify warranty information, submit claims, date of first use, and follow up. Will be responsible for credits, invoicing, warranty registration, Home Depot fleet metrics, warranty campaigns, and entering registration information into the Soft base system. Must have good communication skills and be customer service oriented.

The primary function of the Warranty Associate is to clarify warranty information, submit claims, date of first use, and follow up. Will be responsible for credits, invoicing, warranty registration, Home Depot fleet metrics, warranty campaigns, and entering registration information into the Soft base system. Essential Functions
- Ensure that the date of first use is verified on all equipment and entered into the system.
- Clarify if the unit falls under warranty guidelines,
- Submit claims - SAP or vendor websites or through the mail. Ensure accuracy and compare to the original invoice.
- Log parts, verify parts, and put parts in a cage; catalog failed parts.
- Ensure claim vs work orders are accurate and complete.
- Invoice warranty works orders, the accuracy of each, parts, no freight, labor, description, and verify several parts.
- Follow up, and verify claims approved, returned, or denied. Follow up with information for returns.
- Verify warranty, credits, and credit memos to invoice, verify if the loss is a non-recoverable warranty or billable to the customer.
- Ship parts, run reports from Toyota or credit memos from vendors, pull parts, package, and ship to vendor.
- Keep parts stored for 90 days after the payment date.
- Maintain warranty register, vendor websites, and Softbase system, & verify with the sales department. Maintain Home Depot fleet metrics, verify PM date hours, work order, the function of PM, and enter into system.
- High school diploma or GED,
- must have 5 years' experience in material handling equipment or heavy industrial equipment.
- Must be computer literate, able to understand warranty documents and have an eye for detail and able to make decisions based on warranty work.
