Job Summary
The material Handler is responsible for efficiently managing the flow of materials and products within the distribution center. This role includes receiving, storing, and shipping goods, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Record and report discrepancies and damages.
- Properly store materials in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with audits.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment, including correct labeling and packaging.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move products as needed.
- Prepare shipping documents and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and track shipments.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to promote operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any issues or concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in material handling is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
