The intern will support Shoppa’s team by helping create dashboards, views, and data documentation under guidance. This role is
designed to give the intern hands-on exposure to business intelligence while producing reporting assets that improve decision-making
for sales, service, and operations.

Essential Functions
- Work with BI/Data Science leads to:
- Create and test SQL queries and data views.
- Build Power BI dashboards aligned with business requirements.
- Document data sources, definitions, and KPIs to ensure consistency.
- Shadow BI team members to learn how requirements are gathered, translated into data models, and delivered to the business.
- Assist in validating reports by comparing BI outputs to source system data
- Strengthen Shoppa’s reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Provide leaders with clearer visibility into KPIs across departments.
- Teach the intern foundational BI skills in data modeling, visualization, and storytelling.
- All other duties assigned
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SQL and/or Power BI (or other BI tools); strong Excel skills.
- Understanding of basic data concepts (tables, joins, KPIs, data visualization best practices).
- Masters or Senior standing preferred, with strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams, translating requirements into clear reporting outputs.
