The Systems Engineering Intern will support the Sales, Engineering, and Installation teams by assisting with system design activities, project documentation, and preparation of customer proposals. This role provides hands-on exposure to conveyor system design, industrial automation, and material handling projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.

Essential Functions
- Project Support & Documentation
- Review and organize customer specifications, drawings, and related project documents.
- Assist in preparing installation drawings and permit packages under supervision.
- Support development of bill of materials (BOM), scope documentation, and project folders.
- Aid in the preparation of project closeout documentation and as-built drawing packages.
- Engineering & Design Assistance
- Work with engineers to analyze layout data, conveyor requirements, and site constraints.
- Assist in creating system layouts (training provided if needed).
- Support validation of design details, equipment selection, and basic engineering calculations.
- Quoting & Cost Support
- Help gather supplier quotes and update pricing sheets.
- Assist in preparing preliminary cost estimates and proposal packages for sales.
- Support tracking of material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Field Exposure (As Needed)
- Accompany engineers to customer sites for surveys and installation observations.
- Learn how conveyor and material handling systems function in operational environments.
- Support special projects assigned by management.
- Assist with improving templates, processes, and engineering tools.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings (training provided).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Proficient with AutoCAD
