We are seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering to design and implement electrical systems for a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise and collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power, communications, security, and fire alarm systems.
- Coordinate with architects and other engineers to integrate electrical designs.
- Perform load calculations and ensure energy efficiency and code compliance.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Oversee installation and commissioning to ensure quality and safety.
- Stay current with industry standards, technology, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (electrical emphasis).
- PE registration in South Dakota or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
- 8 years of electrical design experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit; experience with lighting software or SKM preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building, electrical, energy, and life safety codes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
