- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication with nursing staff.
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or behavioral health challenges by implementing personalized care plans.
- Assist medical teams during procedures and treatments by preparing supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring patient safety.
- Document all patient interactions and care activities meticulously within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
- Utilize skills in phlebotomy when required and assist with other clinical tasks such as catheter care or medication administration under supervision.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
