Duties & Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
This position may require any of the following functions:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.
- Monitor and adjust HVAC systems to maintain proper temperature, humidity, and air quality levels within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of all HVAC maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during HVAC maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering staff to support overall facility operations and production goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HVAC-related maintenance programs and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in HVAC technology.
- Respond to emergency HVAC repair requests and perform on-call duties as required.
- Ensure compliance and understanding of safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participates in incident investigations to identify root-cause and enact corrective actions.

Education:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Industrial process chiller experience required.
- EPA Universal Certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidate must be able to:
- Lift and carry up-to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and climb ladders or stairs in the facility
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and manipulate objects
- Ability to wear PPE such as hard hat, safety shoes, protective clothing, safety harness, safety glasses, and respiratory protection (as required)
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals, heat, and noise.
- PVC manufacturing facility, in presence of chemicals.
- Occasionally work in tight or closed in spaces.
