Duration: 9 12 Months Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Documentation Specialist to support enterprise data governance initiatives. This role will focus on creating, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality documentation, ensuring alignment with data governance standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain data governance documentation including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Review existing documentation and enhance clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Collaborate with data governance teams, data stewards, and business stakeholders
- Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Maintain version control and document repositories
- Support audit and compliance efforts by providing required documentation
- Follow through on documentation lifecycle from drafting to approval and publishing
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in documentation, technical writing, or data governance
- Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Experience reviewing and improving existing documentation
- Familiarity with data management concepts (metadata, data lineage, data quality)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services domain
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR)
- Experience with tools like Collibra, Alation, or similar data governance platforms
