About the Role
A well-established geosciences testing and research firm in Chelmsford, MA is looking for an experienced CAD/Revit Designer to join their team onsite. You'll work closely with civil and geotechnical engineers to translate field data, boring logs, and engineering analyses into clear, accurate technical drawings that support a steady pipeline of infrastructure, construction, and site investigation projects across the region.

What You'll Do
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, sections, and details using AutoCAD and Revit
- Develop site plans, boring location plans, subsurface profiles, and geotechnical exhibits from field and lab data
- Coordinate with project engineers to incorporate redlines, design changes, and client comments
- Maintain CAD/Revit standards, templates, and drawing libraries
- Prepare exhibits and figures for geotechnical reports, proposals, and permitting submittals
- Support QA/QC of drawings and ensure deliverables meet project and client requirements
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of CAD experience in a civil, geotechnical, or related engineering environment
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus) and Revit
- Background or formal education in civil or geotechnical engineering strongly preferred
- Experience producing geotechnical exhibits (boring logs, soil profiles, site plans) is a major plus
- Solid understanding of engineering drawing conventions, dimensioning, and drafting standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication with engineers and project managers
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with gINT, LogPlot, or similar geotechnical software
- Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Knowledge of Massachusetts and New England permitting/site work standards
