If you’re working on high-net-worth clients but not getting the level of ownership, client access, or upside you are looking for, this is worth a look.
A boutique firm is hiring a Tax Director to work directly with high-net-worth individuals and family office clients on complex tax and planning matters. This is a client-facing role with real influence, not just review work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and review returns for individuals, trusts, and passthrough entities
- Advise clients on tax strategy and planning opportunities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for a sophisticated client base
- Work closely with attorneys, advisors, and family office professionals
- Manage engagements from planning through delivery
- Mentor staff and review work product
What They’re Looking For
- 8 years of tax experience (public accounting preferred)
- Active CPA
- Strong experience with HNW clients, trusts, and entities
- Ability to manage relationships and think beyond compliance
Why People Make This Move
- Direct access to high-net-worth clients (not layered under multiple levels)
- More advisory work, less pure compliance grind
- Competitive compensation tied to value delivered
- Hybrid flexibility with a boutique team
- Opportunity to step into a true leadership role
This is a strong move for someone who wants more ownership, better clients, and a clearer path forward.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
