A well-established public accounting firm in Birmingham is looking to add a Tax Associate to its growing practice. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants meaningful client exposure, strong mentorship, and a clear path to advancement.
You will work directly with small business owners and high net worth individuals, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of returns and planning engagements. The firm values quality work, close client relationships, and a collaborative team environment.
What you'll do:
Prepare individual, business, and trust tax returns Support tax planning and advisory work for closely held businesses and HNW clients Research tax issues and assist with notices and filings Work alongside senior staff and partners who are invested in your development
What we're looking for:
1 or more years of public accounting tax experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
Solid understanding of individual and business taxation
Strong attention to detail and a client-service mindset
Ability to work fully onsite in Birmingham, AL
