A St. Louis law firm has an opening for an experienced Paralegal to work on estate planning, tax and probate matters.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing estate tax returns, gift tax returns, individual and fiduciary income tax returns (1041, 1065 and 706).
- Assisting with trust process, including funding, administration, and notices.
- Assisting with the preparation of basic estate planning documents and related trust funding.
- Assisting with probate administration, including opening/closing estates, e-filing, preparing accountings, and handling asset transfers.
- Communicating with clients and advisors.
Qualified Applicants Will Have:
- 3 years of probate, trust and tax experience.
- General understanding of estate planning principles and trust funding procedures.
- Knowledge of beneficiary designation forms and ability to coordinate with clients' financial advisors.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and good judgment.
- Ability to manage high volume priorities while working with others to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, especially when working with clients.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe, required.
