Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to support their operations. In this role you will:
- Support monthly close and management reporting, including variance analysis vs. budget/forecast and prior period.
- Maintain and enhance operational KPIs (e.g., gross margin, labor and, freight, and working capital performance).
- Build and refresh financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis; communicate key drivers and sensitivities.
- Analyze product and customer profitability, pricing/mix impacts, and cost-to-serve across channels and distribution methods.
- Support inventory analytics (excess/obsolete, slow-moving, cycle count accuracy) and help improve inventory controls.
- Develop ad hoc analyses and business cases (capex/ROI, make vs. buy, supplier changes, network/logistics changes).
- Help improve data quality and reporting automation by leveraging ERP and intermediate to advanced Excel techniques.
- Prepare clear, concise presentations and recommendations for finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, FP&A, cost analysis, or related roles; manufacturing and/or distribution environment strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas; Power Query/Power Pivot a plus).
- Experience working with ERP systems and large datasets; ability to reconcile data across systems.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting/forecasting processes, and variance analysis.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive, eager to learn, organized and teachable.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Exposure to business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau and/or SQL a plus).
- Ability to influence without authority and partner effectively across Operations, Sales, and Accounting.
