Job Overview – Sales Tax Accountant – 34484

A global, industry-leading organization is seeking a Sales Tax Accountant to join its Tax Department and manage multi-state sales and use tax compliance. This role will partner with corporate and field teams, support tax reporting and reconciliation, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns.
• Reconcile sales and use tax general ledger accounts.
• Research and resolve tax-related variances with internal teams.
• Manage sales tax registrations, renewals, and permit cancellations.
• Provide guidance on state and local sales tax requirements.
• Maintain tax workpapers, procedures, and exemption certificates.
• Support process improvements and compliance initiatives.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Tax preferred.
• Experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP or tax software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high-volume data and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
