Program Manager- Secret Clearance required

Job Location: Springfield, VA (Hybrid)

Travel Requirement: As needed, up to 50%

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required (interim OK)

Citizenship: US Citizenship required

We are seeking a candidate that clearly demonstrates strong leadership and project execution skills to ensure project success in budget, scope, schedule and customer satisfaction. He/she/they have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity. He/she will have the ability to operate in a team environment that is diverse and possibly remote as well as collaborate across multiple business areas to accomplish Sherpa’s goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage large IDIQ contract with multiple task orders
• Manage full life cycle of assigned projects
• Understand the fundamentals of government contracting
• Interface with all stakeholders including Contracting, Financial, Legal, Security, Senior Staff, Executive Staff, Customers, End Users, Engineering, IT and Team Members
• Participate in Business Development activities including networking, program capture and proposal development
• Develop project artifacts including detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates (EACs), resource plans, and status reports based on contractual requirements
• Conduct project meetings virtually and/or in-person
• Perform project tracking and analysis
• Ensure adherence to quality standards
• Manage and review project deliverables
• Ensure all project contractual obligations are being satisfied
• Provides analytical guidance to project team 
• Recommend and/or direct the analysis and solutions of problems
• Perform staffing and workload forecasting
• Work with Project Controllers to satisfy project financial requirements
• Ability to build trust and confidence with customers, engineers, technicians, program management, and product line management to achieve program and business objectives

Requirements

Education / Professional Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance required (interim OK)
• Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management or other related field
• Ten (10) years of experience managing/supervising technical teams/projects related to the role
• DoD Experience
• PMP Certification
• Experience overseeing Project Manager(s) as direct reports

Other Qualifications:

• Demonstrate leadership by example, building trust and inspiring people through a shared vision where people feel valued, empowered, and fulfilled
• Ability to independently lead and support technical meetings with customers, teammates, program management and leadership
• Experience in systems engineering and/or software engineering
• Experience executing projects with Agile methodology
• Experience with DOD related contracts
• Experience with proposal effort coordination, including estimating, bidding, narrative writing, risk identification, and technical leadership
• Ability to grasp complex issues, independently formulate analysis and proposed solutions, lead people, manage complex activities, manage risks and opportunities, brief issues and represent the company well to the customer

Salary Range

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.

Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
