- Must possess a current Wyoming license as a registered nurse (RN) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- Schedule and perform routine screening procedures, follow-up, and referral.
- Create care plans for students as necessary. LPN's must adhere to (not create) care plans as established by the district nurse.
- Assist administrators in developing school health programs.
- Assess students on a regular basis to detect health needs.
- Maintain up-to-date cumulative health records on all students.
- Administer first aid in accordance with established first aid procedures.
- Implement Board policy on exclusion and readmission of students in connection with infectious and contagious diseases.
- Participate in in-service training programs.
- Assist school personnel in maintaining sanitary standards in schools.
- Conduct school programs of immunization, health assessments, and sight and hearing tests as directed by NASN (National Association of School Nurses).
- Report to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on student health matters.
- Act as a liaison between home and school regarding health concerns, making home visits when necessary.
- Lower body strength to stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Upper body strength ability to lift students for positioning in wheelchairs, side lyers, or floor mats. (Back support provided if needed.)
- School district experience (full time) = One (1) year of job-related experience equals one (1) step on the wage schedule, up to step seven (7)
- School district experience (substitute) & non-school district experience = three (3) years of job-related experience equals one (1) step on the wage schedule, up to step seven (7)

Sheridan County School District 2 is looking for a positive, caring, and dependable School Nurse to join the Sheridan Junior High team for the 26/27 school year.
STARTING SALARY: $34,020 - $59,020 per year, depending on experience (additional $2,520 for BSN).
BENEFITS: This position is eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical and dependent care flexshare plans, supplemental insurance through Aflac and New Your Life, 10 paid sick leave days, and 2 paid personal days. Time off matches student days off, including Christmas Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break.
