Job Summary:

Our team values personalized care, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a caring, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient-centered team. The CNA provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, supporting patient mobility, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of fundamental direct patient care and environmental procedures under the supervision of the RN in both Emergency Department and Medical –Surgical Department based on department census/patient acuity.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties involved in preparing, maintaining, and processing patient, unit(s) and hospital data and records to include operating the organization’s patient care information systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned:
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assisting patients with tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
- Patient Monitoring: Observing and reporting changes in patient condition, including pain, skin integrity.
- Mobility and Transfer: Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning.
- Equipment Assistance: Assisting with the use of equipment and able to turn, reposition and move patients between: bedpans, wheelchairs, and walkers. Must be able to lift 50 lbs when needed.
- Patient Comfort and Safety: Ensuring patients are comfortable, safe, and well-hydrated.
- Communication with the Team: Keeping the nursing staff informed about changes in the patient's condition- mental or physical or any other concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement projects. Attend training and meetings as required
- Maintains awareness of current quality and safety measures on the unit and follows guidelines or reporting measures to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Knowledge and skills in quality improvement and research methodologies.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
- Must have BLS or willing to obtain within 30 days.
