Litigation Associate (Downtown San Diego)

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a mid-level litigation associate to join its insurance team in our Downtown San Diego office. With more than 40 attorneys located in five offices, Sheppard Mullin boasts one of the largest insurance practice groups in California, representing many of the nation’s largest insurers. The group serves as national counsel on institutional issues and other matters involving significant financial risk and are also appellate specialists who have contributed to the development of the law in the insurance area. Our associates are given a high level of responsibility and have opportunities to gain deposition and court experience early in their careers.

With approximately 250 Business Trial attorneys firmwide, litigation has been at the core of Sheppard Mullin’s practice since 1927. Our litigators possess exceptional trial and appellate skills, in-depth knowledge of state and federal courts at all levels, and practical judgement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

• 2-4 years of litigation experience.
• A burning desire to win cases.
• Hunger to get true stand-up work, in deposition and in court.
• Excellent academic record, or other proof that you work stronger and smarter than your peers.
• Excellent writing skills, and the drive to make them even better.
• Insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, and/or class action experience welcomed but not required.

The salary range for this position is $260,000 - $ 365,000.
