Job Description
Shen’s Sushi & Ramen House is looking for a reliable, organized, and responsible Part-Time Hiring & HR Coordinator to help manage recruiting, candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and basic employee records.
The main goal of this position is to help us find reliable employees and maintain an organized hiring process.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in recruiting, human resources, office administration, or employee management who is looking for flexible part-time work.
Responsibilities
- Post and manage job openings on Indeed and other hiring platforms
- Review applications and resumes
- Screen applicants before scheduling interviews
- Contact candidates by phone, text, or email
- Conduct initial phone screenings
- Schedule and conduct first-round interviews
- Recommend qualified candidates to management
- Follow up with applicants
- Assist with new-hire paperwork and onboarding
- Maintain basic employee records, availability, attendance, and documentation
- Assist with recruiting when new employees are needed
- Help improve and organize the company’s hiring process
Requirements
- Strong communication and people skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable speaking with and interviewing applicants
- Able to identify reliable and suitable candidates
- Basic computer and email skills
- Able to work independently
- Previous experience in HR, recruiting, office administration, hiring, or management preferred
- Must be able to occasionally work on-site in Somers Point
Schedule
Approximately 15–20 hours per week.
Schedule is flexible depending on hiring needs. Some recruiting and administrative work may be completed remotely, but on-site interviews and employee-related tasks will occasionally be required.
Hours may vary slightly depending on how actively we are hiring.
Pay
$20–$24 per hour, depending on experience.
