Position Overview
Shenandoah is seeking an experienced and dependable Branch Superintendent to oversee field operations for our Orlando, FL branch. This position is responsible for leading daily construction operations, managing field crews, coordinating manpower and resources, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in trenchless construction, underground utilities, pipeline rehabilitation, or related infrastructure services. This role requires a strong field leader who can manage crews, oversee equipment and production, resolve operational challenges, and ensure successful project execution while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily field operations for trenchless construction projects, including pipe rehabilitation, cleaning, repair, grouting, and related underground infrastructure services
- Lead, mentor, and support field crews to ensure safe, productive, and high-quality work
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and schedules to meet project goals and customer expectations
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and operational performance
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards
- Partner with Project Managers, Estimators, and Branch Leadership to support successful project execution
- Ensure crews have the proper resources, equipment, and support needed to complete work efficiently
- Review daily reports, production records, timekeeping, and equipment utilization
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project schedules and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and customer specifications
- Oversee proper use, care, and maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and specialized equipment
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and development of field personnel
- Maintain strong communication with customers, project teams, and branch leadership
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase safety, quality, and productivity
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in trenchless construction, underground utilities, pipeline rehabilitation, or related construction services
- Previous experience supervising crews and managing field operations required
- Strong understanding of construction processes, jobsite safety, and field productivity
- Experience managing heavy equipment, construction crews, and project resources
- Ability to read and interpret project documents, plans, and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot field challenges
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel as needed
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime as needed
- Weekends as needed based on project requirements
