Sheets, Childs & Sandre PLLC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our municipal and condemnation practice. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and case summaries
- Prepare, organize, and respond to discovery requests and productions
- Maintain attorney calendars, including hearings, mediations, trials, and critical deadlines
- Manage case files and document organization within the firm’s document management system
- Conduct legal and factual research to support case development
- Prepare exhibits, hearing binders, trial notebooks, and presentation materials
- Coordinate hearing/deposition logistics, including A/V setup (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, PowerPoint)
- E-file documents in state and federal courts and coordinate service of process
- Track and enter billable time and assist with billing accuracy
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel
- Support attorneys during hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience required
- Experience in condemnation, eminent domain, real estate, or municipal law preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with e-filing systems and legal/document management software preferred
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: In-office (Round Rock, TX), with possible partial remote flex following training
- Job Type: Full-time
