What You'll Do- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of light- and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment overhauls.
- Conduct DOT inspections and maintain repair documentation.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
- Support winter maintenance operations and emergency response efforts.
- Respond to field service calls and help keep critical equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Work with a team dedicated to maintaining one of the County's most valuable assets—its fleet.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
- Four years of experience in automotive, diesel, or fleet maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex equipment issues.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service.
- Valid CDL or ability to obtain required endorsements.
- ASE certifications or coursework are a plus.
